Walkergate: Rindfleisch Stalls Justice Again

Speak of the devil.

I mentioned Kelly Rindfleisch last night and here she comes, popping up on my radar again.

I reported that it appeared that the DA was loading up the evidence against her. It must have been some pretty powerful stuff, since there's another entry in the court history showing that there has been yet another appeal filed regarding this case.

And it was indeed Rindfleisch who filed the appeal.

The records don't indicate on what grounds they are trying to appeal this time.

They've tried it before on the grounds that she should be tried in Columbia County. This appeal was denied.

If I was forced to make a guess, I would have to say that it is probably to contest the repeated rulings against her motions to use universal immunity. If I am correct on this guess, I would also have to say it has even less of a chance than her previous appeal did.

And for what it's worth, I don't think that this appeal is necessarily an intent to stall the case because of the election. Rather, I believe it to be the act of a woman trying desperately to avoid taking any responsibility for her actions.

But this does again raise a nagging question.

Given that her attorney, Franklyn Gimbel, does not work cheap and has put in quite the considerable number of hours, and given that she is also facing criminal charges for a telemarketing scheme, I would love to know just exactly how she is paying for all of her legal fees. Or should I say, who is paying all of her legal fees?

  1. As far as I can tell, who's paying her legal expenses, it's a no brainer! :p Who, other than Douchebag extraordinaire!

  2. "Desperately avoid taking responsibility...". Perhaps. Desperately avoiding prison may better account for this flailing.

The battle for the heart of the electorate gets all the press--and this crew has won the latest. But there is a quiet battle for the power of the judiciary. The bad guys are losing at every turn.
