I have heard that the Republican convention being held in Green Bay this weekend is supposed to be a rally around Scott Walker, who is facing recall in a few weeks and who is being investigated for a various number of illegal campaigning stunts.
But I wonder, which Walker will they be rallying around?
Will it be the Walker that showed up to meet with the Oshkosh Northwestern's editorial board and clearly said that he was going to negotiate for the concessions from the unions:
Or will it be the Walker that kisses and kisses up to billionaire campaign donors and talks about dividing and conquering the workers of Wisconsin with right to work for less laws:
Or will it be the Walker that showed up before a congressional committee and testified, under oath, that he didn't campaign on his plan to bust the unions and that his plan to bust the unions had absolutely no benefit to the state's budget:
Oh, I know! They'll make it into a party game like "What's my lie?" or "Will the real Scott Walker please stand up?"
What really amazes me is the dolts that are able to put aside the fact that they have no idea of what Walker stands for but still support him fully anyway. Then again, these are the same fools that think Walker created more jobs than he lost, that he balanced the budget or that taxes went down. Apparently, they'll buy anything and will do so if it feeds into their misperceptions of reality.

Bam! Another one out of the park!
ReplyDelete"and who is being investigated for a various number of illegal campaigning stunts."
ReplyDeleteSo has the investigation turned to Walker now? (according to short pockets?) Because this is the first I have heard that Scott himself is under investigation. Or is this hope for change mixing with reality?
No, he only spent $200,000 because he joined the adopt-a-trial-lawyer program.
DeleteYes, apparently. I have friends and family in that camp and I just don't get that they're not putting these things together.
ReplyDeleteThe GAB cited state statute that the only way Walker could open up a legal defense fund to solicit or transfer campaign donations was if he was under investigation or indictment for illegal campaign activites. But go ahead and ignore the reality that the scooter sleaze is under investigation. Like Capper said, Walker's supporters are guilty of living in a world of suspended reality, not his opponents. Of course, if your excuse for not knowing the predicament Scooter is in is that you just slithered out from under a rock somewhere, welcome to the sunshine!
ReplyDeleteStay on it, Capp!
Again, another great piece Chris...thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteSo then by your standards because Obama has lawyers representing his interests in the birth certificate accusations, I should assume he is guilty?
ReplyDeleteYes, Obama was guilty of having a birth certificate.
DeletePeople who won't connect the dots don't because they don't want to. They prefer to hang on to their illogical ideology at all costs, even though they are just as much at risk as the rest of us. Their egos feed their sense of superiority, falsely believing they are on the side of the "winners," even though their winners are just sleazy crooks who managed to pull enough strings to achieve elected office. They will never admit their mistake. No amount of information and facts will sway their stubborn opinions. But we fight for them just as much as we fight for our own families and lives. They may never thank us, but they will benefit when we prevail.
