Only a little over 3600 signatures were required.

The person most upset by this news will be Chris Abele, who thinks that people exercising their right to vote is like a Facebook poll.  He does find it so tedious and annoying when the little people want their voices to be heard in government.  Don't they know he has plutocrats to pander to?
